USS Randolph (CV-15)

On 11 March 1945 Randolph was hit by
a suicide plane while she was anchored at Ulithi Atoll. She lost 25 crewmen
but was repaired locally and returned to action in early April. From then
until late May 1945, the carrier actively participated in the Okinawa
campaign, serving as flagship of Task Force 58.
