USS Lunga Point (CVE-94)
 

On February 21, 1945, Lunga Point was operating with other carriers when 16 planes attacked. Saratoga was damaged and Bismarck Sea was sunk. Lunga Point was attacked by 4 torpedo bombers, 1 of which clipped and damaged the ship’s island structure before splashing into the sea. None killed, missing or wounded.
